I'm not sure what directions you want to show up. There is no starting address to show directions for. If you want directions to show up you will have to set up a form for getting the starting address. Here is a solution recipe that will help you setup the form for the starting address:
03_formfield_directions.swf

If you are looking to add static directions from a certain predetermined location, here is a solution recipe for that:
02_static_directions_demo.swf

If I'm misunderstanding something, could you please clarify what directions you are looking for?

directions not displaying

I am also trying to get the directions to show but with no luck. I bought powerstore and the directions show in dreamweaver but not online, so I looked on the forums and took your advice and did the tutorial for adding the form and linking in the google map edit panel. But now I get this problem:

Webpage error details:

Message: 'null' is null or not an object
Line: 476
Char: 87
Code: 0
URI: main.js

The map now does not show and the directions still dont work. I then reloaded the orginal pages and started fresh again and just tried to change the icon and I get the same error as above.

I never had a problem with the map showing but now I have two problems: the map does not show and the directions still dont work. So I have to revert to the orginal file now which does not help me.

I would appreciate if someone can advise me what to do?

Thanks.

Could you send me a link to your PowerStore, so I can take a look at the page that is having the issue?

It is: AboutUs_test.php

Thanks.

It looks like you have invalid form settings like the form action being address:
form action="Address:" If you don't want the page to forward, you can leave the action blank.

Also the name and id of inputs in the form, shouldn't have ":" or spaces in them, so Street: and Post Code are not good for these.

Another issue with your map is that your address you are using:
Unit 20, Shamrock Enterprises Centre, Wingate Road, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 4DP, UK

If you input this into maps.google.com/ the address is not found. You will have to use an address that Google Maps recognizes for the map to display correctly. It appears that the issue is the street that you have put in:
Unit 20, Shamrock Enterprises Centre, Wingate Road

This cannot have commas in it, just the street number and the Street name.

Make those changes and give it a try.

Thanks for your reply. I have done everything you say but that did not rectify the error so I downloaded and reinstalled the google maps ext again and now there is not an error if I change the flag or connect the directions form to the ext. So that ironed out the problem of the map not displaying with the error message.

Regarding the address I have changed it to prove that was not the problem, but it has been working with the orginal address, I believe this is because I have registered the address with google a month ago and I am just awaiting the verification pin off the owner of the address. But for arguement sake I have left it as you suggested while you help me solve the problem.

So now the map displays but the directions still dont work. Can you advise me what to do next to sort this problem?

Since you recently updated to the latest release of Pro Maps for Google, one test you can do is to create a blank page in your project. Try creating a map with directions by following the tutorial. Let me know how that goes.
