Button colors in Internet Explorer

Hello Ray... You've helped me in a lot of areas on my website, and this new problem just came to my attention! All the buttons on the subscriber's section of my website are the correct color in Firefox and Google... but with Internet Explorer they are Gray with White type and very difficult to read. You can log in to the site as a subscriber and you'll see what I mean. Try it with Firefox or Google and it works great. Internet Explorer shows the wrong button colors.

The website is www.wheretheshowsare.com/fastsearch

What version of IE are you looking at it with? It looks fine in the latest version of Microsoft Edge.

Viewing the website in Internet Explorer 11

I was viewing the site in Internet Explorer 11 which came with Windows 7 which a lot of people still use. I tried it in every other browser and the site works fine. Maybe there is not reasonable solution... and it seems weird that this is the only browser that seems to have a problem.

I've had a few customers who mentioned the problem to me over the last weekend when I was at some events... so I thought I'd see if there was a solution to it. As people move to Windows 10 I can see the issue will go away.. but there are still some customers who use Windows XP!!!

If you know of a solution to the problem let me know. If it's a defect in older version of Internet Explorer I'll ask the customers to either try another browser or to upgrade to Windows 10 which will solve the problem.

Less than 5% of users are in IE 11, but that is still enough to maybe worry about it.

You might try adding some version specific css to at least change the text to black for IE11 so it is readable. There are examples of targeting IE versions you could use here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18907131/detecting-ie11-using-css-capability-feature-detection

I'll just leave it alone...

Thanks for your reply Ray. I think I'll just leave this problem with the buttons alone. Eventually everyone will move on to the new browsers and it seems like a lot of work tracking down the problem that exists only on a small percentage of computers. Thanks for your time!
