database import issues

I set up my store locally and exported the database. I have PS installed on my live server and I tried importing but it's not working. It's telling me the tables already exist. I've imported databases in the past with little issue so I'm frustrated that this isn't working.

Any suggestions on the easiest way to import the database? I really, really don't want to add all of these products again! TIA

You should be able to export and import from phpmyadmin without issues. You can choose to drop the tables if they exist in the export script so that they will be completely overwritten.

There is no advance option to select to overwrite existing tables. I wonder if I can delete the whole database and just import the local one?

Yes you can do that.
