MySQLi Database will not stay installed

Just downloaded and installed WADataBridge123 but cannot install a MySQL database connection into my website. It initially installs and shows the tables correctly, but as soon as I try to add a MySQLi recordset, the connection goes away and the MySQLi recordset GUI will not display the database tables.

I'd have to debug this on your computer to see what might be going wrong. If you want to post a US phone number or Skype contact information I'll set up a time to do screen sharing with you next week to try to figure out what is going wrong.

My Skype account is listed in the Private Message. Do you need any other info?

We looked into this in a connect meeting and it appears to be a server configuration issue. Basic php code wasn't running properly on the server. He is going back to the hosting company support to look into it further with them directly.

No Connection with MySQL Database

Just finished working with GoDaddy tech support and re-made all the webpages and code to re-test. But I am now getting this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /home/randyrierjr9/public_html/psufoba/testpage.php on line 1

Before, I was getting this error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected "{" in /home/randyrierjr9/public_html/psufoba/testpage.php on line 1

GOOD NEWS (I hope)

I have replaced the require_once() function in all of my PHP pages, loaded to the GoDaddy server and they all now successfully interact with my MySQL database.

Rather than use the default Dreamweaver connection: <?php require_once('Connections/FOBA.php'); ?> I am using: <?php include("Connections/FOBA.php"); ?> which seems to resolve the issue I was having. Godaddy never mentioned updating their PHP to a version that deprecates the require_once() function. Any thoughts?

We will have to debug this again. I have a feeling there are still underlying issues with your server, but I'll need to test to see what the actual cause is.
