Check new username

Hi, I am currently using the check new username and I know there is a redirect, but I was hoping their was away to not redirect away from the current page, but instead display an error message underneath the input field in connection to the check new username.

This is important. I also have one for the email address. I just do not want them to have to redirect to see the error, but stay on the same page and display the error.

Just set the redirect to the current page with a URL parameter. Then use the URL parameter to identify the error and display a message.

Do you have an example I can see?

If you set the redirect to: "register.php?userexists=1"

Then you could add code to the page like:

php:
<?php

if (isset($_GET['userexists'])) {
?>
That username is in use
<?php
}
?>
