MySQLi Connections

MySQLi Connections

Since using the MySQLi Server Behaviour Extension, I notice I am getting Connections Error Limit Exceeding reports from my Server Provider - Hostgator. The limit they set on a shared server is 25.

My question is, can I add anything to the connection script so that when, it exceeds this amount, instead of seeing a rather disastrous looking error / warning report, there is quite simply a message saying something like "Server Busy. Please try again shortly?".

Please advise.

Kind Regards

25 is really low... Try adding p: to the front of the database host name in the connections file. That will allow you to use a persistent connection and multiple pages can re-use the same connection and may prevent the error from ever happening.
