I have been getting duplicate code inserted after I have edited a MySQLI insert or Update server behavior.

I have been getting duplicate code inserted after I have edited a MySQLI insert or Update server behavior.

The duplicates get added into the body of the page I am editing. Has anyone else had this issue? What may be causing it? I am using Dreamweaver 6 (Dreamweaver 12.0 build 5861) on a Windows 10 pc.

What part is duplicated? If you can send me a page that has the problem and I can reproduce it I can probably find the cause and solution.

Here is one of the files. Simply, the whole behavior is being duplicated in the body portion of the document.

I wonder if there is another extension causing conflicts... when you click on the server behavior (with split or code view) does it highlight the previously applied code like it should? What view mode do you typically have Dreamewaver in when this occurs? Does it happen consistently? I'm not able to reproduce.

It is inconstant. I just tried several files and each highlighted the existing code as expected. If it hadn't happened a number of times, I would have disregarded the error as an oddity.

I will keep watching and see If I can determine when this is happening. (I wasn't able to reproduce the error this time around!)

I will update this thread if I can determine the circumstances.

Thank you.

A duplicate behavior was inserted when I updated the "Insert Behavior" on this page. I had the window opened in Split mode, when I selected the Insert Behavior for editing, it correctly highlighted the existing code. After modifying the insert (a new field was added to the database "is_parent") I updated the Insert to put a value of "N" in that field and the duplicate code was inserted immediately after the <!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="MainContent" --> template tag.

I did the same thing in this file, and the behavior updated correctly.

In this file, the Update Behavior does not appear on the Behaviors Panel, although the Update code is intact.

You need to update line 34 to:
$UpdateGoTo = "user_edit.php?iogkfID=". $myMember->getColumnVal("iogkfID") ."";

It looks like you manually updated that line and that is why it isn't showing. Dreamweaver expects that line to end with a double quote.

Thanks I will correct that. I've found that if I don't remove the 'echo' command from that string, I get a 500 Server error when trying to run the script.
