record & image not inserting

I have a insert record page where file & some text needs to be uploaded/inserted. Everything is working fine on local server but on main server (online) image is not getting uploaded also record details of image are not getting uploaded while using the main server.

Please help. File attached.

It sounds like a permissions problem on the ../img/dynamic/ and ../img/dynamic/thumb/ folders.

Since the code is the same in both places, the permissions on the folder is likely the difference causing it to not work properly.

what shud be done? i tried possible ways. yet not working. what shud be file permissions for those folders? currently it is 775

Try 777... The bindings for the page with the file upload should include a value for the upload error message. Remove all redirects associated with the insert records and display that error on the page and it should give you more information about why the upload isn't working.

hey i made folders to 777. it works now, but its safe right?

There are other safety measures to prevent users from adjusting content other than file permissions. Those are what determine the safety of the files, not just the permissions.

The server administrator and hosting provider protect the computers for you.
