adding server behavior to template

I have a Dreamweaver PHP template that has a Framework Builder template applied to it. I want to add server behaviors to the Dreamweaver template, but I get the error that the edits are outside the updateable area of the template. Is there a suggestion on how I can fix this, or do I need to unapply the original templates, made a new template and then apply that new one to all the other pages?

If you are using a Framework builder theme you can ignore that error and it should allow you to apply server behaviors.
