Server email validation - upper case domain type fails

Server email validation - upper case domain type fails

While using server-side validation for email, I found that if the domain type was in upper case the validation would fail. Investigating the file "wavt_scripts_php.php", it looks like the variable "$knownDomsPat" may be the cause. Is there a fix available (in case the visitor has their caps lock on) and how do we handle the over 300 domain types that are now available?

I think that check in general is probably dated... I'd remove the check entirely.

Find this code:

php:
if (strlen($domArr[count($domArr)-1]) !=2 && !preg_match($knownDomsPat,$domArr[count($domArr)-1])) {

        $isValid = false;
      }

and then delete those lines.

Thank you Ray... I will disable the check but I'm wondering if this script will be updated for future use?

Yes, since so many domains have been recently added, we will make a similar update to the extension in an upcoming release.
