update without overwriting

Hello,
I'm working on adding dynamic product options to a store, and I want to post the pages so the company owners can review them, but hidden from the public until the new store is ready to go live. In the past, for pages that aren't database driven, I would make a folder with the testing site and share the link with those who need it, but I'm not sure if this is possible because of the complexity of how ecart works with the database.

How do you recommend I update the store so they can proof it?

Thanks!

I think you would still do a folder with a testing site... then you could also create a copy of the database and update the connection file to point to the testing database.

Then when you go live you could copy over both the testing files and the testing database to the live one.

Excellent! Thanks so much! I do this regularly with site I develop, but I was nervous because I didn't want to cause problems with the code Webassist generates.
