Headers already sent issue on local site

Hi,

I’m having "headers already sent” problem on my local eCart site.
I went through the troubleshooting of http://www.webassist.com/forums/posts.php?t=19285 and no luck.

Throughout the site below error shows up:

Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/RCUS_parts/Connections/localhost.php:9) in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/RCUS_parts/WA_eCart/WA_eCart_Definition_PHP.php on line 465

When I go through to check out, it stucks at “confirm.php” page with the same error above, as well as this:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/RCUS_parts/Connections/localhost.php:9) in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/RCUS_parts/confirm.php on line 335

So I looked into “localhost.php”, and cannot find any error - not that I know well enough about PHP anyway.

FYI everything works just fine on the remote side without any error message, so I reckon it’s about local connection issue? Anyway I cannot figure out why this is happening.
I attached all 3 files (connection.php, WA_eCart_Definition_PHP.php, and confirm.php).

Truly sorry to waste your time if this was so obvious and an easy mistake...

Line 9 is the connection to the database.... It would only have output if there was an error... so my guess is that the database name, username, or password is incorrect for the local database. (or you haven't started your local database server)

Hi Ray,

Thank you for your reply.

Hmm... as you say Line 9 is the log in info. All the info is correct, it's connected fine to the local database.
Data and images are all appearing fine on the local site. It seems it's all working fine except when I send order to the database, the data on the same raw kept written over again and again instead of moving on to the next row (in the database I mean), and on the local site the page doesn't move to the success page from the confirm page.

Is it possible that the file: Connections/localhost.php

is different on the live server? The file you attached didn't have what looks like live database connection information. Can you download and send me the live one to review.

Hi Ray,

It seems, as you mentioned, it was just a difference between the local and remote info setting that caused the error message. I keep the file name both as "localhost" so I don't have to change the php file.

Sorry it took your time, I thought it was something more serious than this...
