MSQLI and Databridge
I have just purchased MYSQLI Behaviours today to find it is not compatible with the Databridge I purchased a couple of months ago. How long will be it before this has been sorted?

There are a lot of places that DataBridge interacts with the database, so this is a very time consuming update. We don't have a public release date, but it will be several months.
Hi Ray, is an updated data bridge with MySQLi getting closer? Is there and estimated date yet? Just wondering because I am holding off from doing a few jobs at the moment in the hope that I might be able to apply current code rather than deprecated code.
Thanks.
It is getting closer, but still not eminent. I'm waiting on adobe's next Dreamweaver release, which should be coming out soon before getting too optimistic. The last couple of releases sent us back to the drawing board, so if they don't break anything this time, then it could be relatively soon after that release, but if they do.... well back to the drawing board again.
Presumably the work you mention in relation to the change from the MySQL extension to the MySQLi extension can be done/completed regardless of what problems Adobe might cause in future releases (and it certainly seems that Adobe is very inconsiderate to its developers). When you say you are "waiting on adobe's next Dreamweaver release", do you mean before working on the update or before releasing it?
Dreamweaver users are used to having multiple versions or reverting to older versions to deal with problems caused or features removed following 'upgrades' etc.. I think if you released an update today (hypothetically), your users would be more than happy and totally understanding if it meant delaying upgrading to DW's next release (it's not very likely this would be necessary anyway). As it is, the MySQL extension is not just deprecated in the latest version of PHP (7) - it has been removed.
I imagine you have little problem knowing what code you need to generate with the DW extension; the challenge is in creating an automated means of generating it, bearing in mind a great many variables (and the odd spanner in the works from Adobe). It might be very useful for some of your existing users if you could provide a few examples of existing code generated by the extension and how it would ideally appear using MySQLi. Also, if new versions of files such as wa_appbuilder_php.php and wada_search.php are already updated, perhaps they could be distributed for users who would be happy to modify the existing code manually, before waiting until the full extension is available.
Thanks
Actually Ray, I would second Tom's sentiments about an update for MySQLi capable DA. It wouldn't have to produce responsive pages as far as I am concerned because it is relatively easy to manually code that -- I tend to always use my own responsive CSS and replace the default CSS produced by DA anyway. To me it's more important that I can easily produce a C.R.U.D. system that will be future proofed by having MySQLi in it and also retain the ability to save presets.
Is there an update on when a MySQLi capable update for DataAssist might be available ? I am particularly interested in the search functions.
I don't have an update with a timeline.
However we have already added the necessary search functionality to the library files (rsobj.php).
If you want to schedule a premier support ticket I can help explain how it works so you can start using it by hand before the UIs are added into Dreamweaver.
Would this offer all the features of DataAssist Search (without the interface)?
