Setup Stripe for payment gateway

Setup Stripe for payment gateway

Hi Ray,

I am going to setup a premium support ticket in the next few days to implement Stripe. Should I go ahead and setup the cart and select PayPal as the gateway, then we would make the changes to those files?

thx
Eric

If you aren't going to have a paypal option as well, then I'd use Authorize.net at checkout... it will be closer to the correct code than paypal.

Hi Ray,

On this Stripe setup I am trying to pass the customer name along with the cc info.

Here is the Strip code section:
$(document).ready(function() {
$("#Payment_NewFromBlank_Default").submit(function(event) {
document.MM_returnValue = false;
// disable the submit button to prevent repeated clicks
$('#Payment_submit').attr("disabled", "disabled");
// createToken returns immediately - the supplied callback submits the form if there are no errors
Stripe.createToken({
number: $('#Card_Number').val(),
cvc: $('#Card_CVV').val(),
exp_month: $('#Card_Exp_Month').val(),
exp_year: $('#Card_Exp_Year').val(),
name: $('#name').val()
}, stripeResponseHandler);
return false; // submit from callback
});
});

name: $('#name').val() grabs this hidden input on the confirm.php page:

<input name="name" type="hidden" id="name" value="<?php echo(WA_getSavedFormValue('CheckoutWizard_NewFromBlank_Default','Last_Name')); ?> - membership" data-stripe="name">

The problem is the saved form value is not showing up. How can I make sure that info is available on the confirm page?

thx
Eric

I'm afraid I don't understand the question. Is the value populated into the hidden field?

If you want me to look at your page, please attach the actual page instead of copy/paste the code so I can open it in Dreamweaver.

Are you saying the value for: <?php echo(WA_getSavedFormValue('CheckoutWizard_NewFromBlank_Default','Last_Name')); ?> is blank?

I'd need to look at your checkout form and confirm_cart.php pages to see why.

Yes the value goes to the hidden field. I did test and the field was getting carried over and sent to Stripe. But once I made it live then it failed to carry over so I am not sure if it is getting dropped.

Pages are attached.

thx

I don't see a problem on the page. The only thing I can think is that using the name="name" might be causing an issue since name is a reserved word.

I don't see a problem either but there is something not working because in the test mode (for Stripe) it works and it is not an issue with the "name" because it is pulling the " -membership" part of the hidden value.

For some reason the saved form value is not pulling. Maybe if a session was set on the checkout page for the last name?

thx
Eric

Is there a page where I can test it?

Yes, I will need to take down public access so you can test. If I have that ready in the next 10 minutes could you test then?
