HTML Editor is not saving content to the database

Using the DataAssist Wizard to make the admin pages, I am having issues.

Inserting new items, or updating existing items, anything I put into the HTML Editor fields is not being saved to the database. If I understand the method of inserting the HTML editor, you simply click on the field to replace it and set your parameters for size of the window and other styles.

The non HTML Editor fields are saving to the database.

I've remade the pages many times and keep having different issues each time.

Appreciate any help.

UPDATE: After 2 days of working with trying to get the HTML Editor to populate my database, I fixed it.

I was replacing the field in Dreamweaver, manually after the page was built by the Wizard. So after making the page again for the 5 or 6 time, I noticed in the Wizard that I can change the display field from text to HTML Editor. That fixed it.

Unfortunately Dreamweaver is infamous for occasionally and inconsistently adding code onto the page in the wrong order. If you have a preset that does it consistently I can reproduce it and look into why.

I can't make sense of why HTML on a DA insert page misbehave

I did setup DA pages (insert, update, search, results & details) to manage a specific table. That table had two rows previously filled in with an old version of HTML (images and various text settings) and with my new current version of HTML plus DA I reedited those contents without a glitch, however when I'm attempting to create a new entry for the database I'm getting a frustrating error (Forbidden - You don't have permission to access /mediareports_insert.php on this server. - Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. ). DA & HTML are not talking to the database for new entries!
I did all sorts of experiments without success, compared codes with other working DA-HTML pages in desperation I did uninstalled and installed extensions and as last resort the entire Adobe Suite, I took note of all the tutorials online and not but the fog hasn't dissipated. I'm utterly frustrated and behind schedule in completing this web site and so far I couldn't find any post on the forum with a similar issue and a solution for it.
Can you help?

I'll need a url to reproduce the problem and FTP access to debug it. I can't spot the problem in the file itself without debugging.

I've tested the page on your site and I'm able to insert and update records. Perhaps the issue has been resolved?

I can't make sense of why HTML on a DA insert page misbehave

I'm glad to know that administrative section for the site is working OK for you; that means that there are other reasons preventing me implementing Insert and Update operations, on Monday I will check with my ISP if there are issues from their end and figure out if I have hardware or setting problems.

While I'm having your attention I would like to ask you an other question relevant with Data Assist:
On the same web site I have created two administrative area to manage two different types of Minutes of Meetings, both of them relay on a menu (not dynamic) containing Financial Years as options. I did try to setup the administrative area as relational tables but the tutorial available were limited and the forum had further instructions which I've found a bit confusing. So I proceeded in using only one table and inserted a non dynamic menu for the Financial Year options, the pages are working OK except I haven't worked out how to hide those options in the menu containing no data. I've found few posts on the Forum with similar requests for assistance but it appear that the answers and solutions are referred to dynamic generated menus only. I did experiment with few of those suggestions but I had mixed results and none did what I was hoping for. Can you help with this other request for assistance?

I'm not sure I fully understand your question. You have a dropdown list of years and minutes that you want to only show years where that type of minutes exists?

In that case you will have to use Dynamic Dropdowns and follow one of the Dynamic Dropdown tuturials. When you get stuck, post a new forum thread here and attach the file with the progress you have made and explain where you are getting stuck, what you have tried, and what you are experiencing. Then I can look and recommend the correct next step.
