Custom database ability

On the Orders page of the Checkout Wizard it states that you can bind to custom database by deselecting "Create using preselect" checkbox, however I don't see that anywhere on the page. I want to create some extra fields for the orders and orderdetails tables and have that information stores upon successful checkout but don't see where to do this.

It is probably easiest to just do this on the completed page. Run the wizard with one of the defaults and then open up the database and add the columns you want.

Then open the confirm.php page that is created and double click on the store cart summary in database server behavior and store cart details in database server behavior to set the values of the added columns.

You will have to do the same on the pp_confirm.php page if you are using paypal express checkout.

Thanks for the reply. I've tried this a few times and each time the Table dropdown says ***No Table Found. The connection file is shown properly so I'm at a standstill.

This is usually a problem with the site definition url. If you open the connection and "test" it does it give you a success message? Which table dropdown are you referring to? What interface are you in?

Seems that somehow Dreamweaver had lost the info. I closed it and restarted DW4 and now seems ok. Sorry for trouble.

I've added the fields to the database and had success with writing the desired value to the orderdetails db but haven't been able to have the company name to record in the order db. Provided FTP in PM.

It looks like the OrderShipCompany should be stored... The rest are stored and that one is blank?
