using cms to manage google analytics script

using cms to manage google analytics script

I created a global script content field so I can make sure all my pages are using the same google analytics script. I opened the editor, opened the source editing tool and pasted the php script given to me by google. I then copied the developer tool associated with the field and pasted that into my template which should update all my pages. when I am logged into cms and I open any of the pages that were created from the template, I see the "edit" tool at the bottom of the page, and I can navigate to confirm the script is there. Unfortunately google is only reporting activity on the index page and not the other pages. Is developer tool scripting created from CMS always pointing to a template page? Any suggestions?

Can I get a copy of the template and the url to the site? I'll see if I can spot the problem.

So does it work at this point with the manual analytics code added? Was the analytics code on the pages when they weren't working?

I was hoping to look at why a page wasn't working, but it appears that page would be working now that you added the code manually?

Sorry, I misspoke. The tracking works when I paste the google script in full into each php page. But it is not working when I paste the php call below:

<?php
include('/home/content/05/11651305/html/loyalneighbor/WA_CMS/addtosite.php');
echo WA_getCMSContent($database_PowerCMSConnection, $PowerCMSConnection, 'Global', 'Google Analytics', false);
?>

I was hoping to allow the client to go to the CMS and edit the source script here should they ever want to edit their google scripts. I this works, then I would add it to the actual template and then have framework builder theme propagate it through all the site pages.

It seems like that would work. I can't imagine why it wouldn't. There should be no difference between manually adding it and adding it from the cms.

If you had a page where you had tried and it didn't work I could debug it. I do notice that the code chunk in the cms has code in it that is supposed to be replaced and isn't in the manually added code. Make sure the chunks are exactly the same and the results should be as well.
