Blue Sky Search won't return results from database

Multiple issues with DataAssist Pages Wizard, Search Wizard and Blue Sky sample files

Tried to use the Search Wizard on my own, with no success generating results data. Downloaded the Blue Sky sample site and followed the DataAssist Search and Result tutorial. Can't get any results to show up on the Results page there either. Files are attached.

Other issues:

+ button isn't clickable when adding columns to pages in Pages Wizard.

Mac DW CC crashes repeatedly when creating Search and Result pages using the DataAssist Pages Wizard.

The few times the Wizard has finished without crashing, the Results page is created but the Search page is blank.

Recordsets have continually disappeared. Read a post on how to fix with no success.

Thanks

What version of the extension are you using? What version of Dreamweaver? What OS?

It looks like you are using the catSearch select list and comparing the value to the ItemID column in the items table.

It seems like it should be the ItemCatID column? I don't know your database design but it may just be updating the proper column on line 16 of the Results page.

This uses the web assist search/result tutorial blue sky files and database. The search record set uses item category table and results record set uses items table. Should they both use the same table?

They can use different tables, but they have to refer to the correct associated (joined) field that represents the foreign key. The ItemID column is the unique ID for the items table, and the catSearch select is populated with the unique ID of the categories table. There has to be a joined column in the Items table that identifies the category the product is in that is used to compare against the category id passed from the search.

Blue Sky Tutorial and related files issues

The Results page shows no results when testing in browser. Doesn't even return 'No Files Found' statement. Files attached.

I've been following the tutorial on the website.

Thanks

It looks like the entire results table is wrapped in a "Show if recordset is empty" server behavior. Which means if there are results, none will be displayed.

It should just have that applied around the "no records found" message and the table should have the opposite "show if recordset NOT empty"
