Yahoo error on submit attempt

Yahoo error on submit attempt

The following errors were detected: limit exceeded

What the heck does that mean? I have 50 sites but I only average one or 2 update submissions per week, and not on the same sites. In other words, 1 for this website, one for another. I did submit one site 2 or 3 times because of changes in one week. Am I banned for life??

I think they might be referring to the size of the sitemap file.

It's only 5 k

The sitemap file is only 5k and about 20 pages.

I've heard people complaining about Yahoo site map submissions before. It sounds like they have a problem on their end.

I belive that yahoo has changed something on their end and the extention needs an update. This is a thread I found on SourceForge:

Thanks for the input, we'll take a look into that if the problem persists. From doing more investigation, it seems that there might just be some sight map submission issues in general.

If you run into this issue, try submitting to yahoo directly:
submit

Go to the "submit site feed" section to submit. If it doesn't submit there then it is most likely an issue with yahoo.

I am getting the same issue. I can submit them from yahoo directly and it works, but if I use web assist to do it, the first two will go thru then I start getting the error message The following errors were detected: limit exceeded

What is the site you are trying to submit?

Still happening to me

Happens on various sites.

I did find an error though where apparently it is submitting my local url instead of the web url:
file://:0/myHD/WebSites/PetersonSales/cartoons.html
