Why can't get my content to appear in the editor on the live server?

On my local server, which I use MAMP on Mac OS X 10.10.1 I can see the content from a mysql database and it works normally. On the live server hosted on Hostgator the content does not appear in the editor. This just recently occured without any changes and I spent quite a bit of time so far trying to figure it out.

You probably need to export your data from your local database and import it into your live database. Also make sure your connection file is updated for the live server.

Data works fine.

Sorry, should have stated that the database populates the other fields perfectly. I even made sure that the data that should be populating within the editor field is there by displaying it on the same page and it's there. All of the pages that I have now do not show the content within the editor only on the live server. On my local development server on a Macbook running MAMP it works fine. The connection string is fine as well. The whole public site works perfectly as usual, just the admin pages that the editor will not display the content. If you write in the editor and submit it will save that info but when you go back to update it will be there in the database but not display in the editor.

Issue is solved

On a hunch I checked the Host server's PHP version and it was set to 5.4. My local MAMP setup's PHP was 5.2.17. I dropped the Host back to 5.2 and voila, everything was fine.
