eCart data not uploading to database with worldpay remote processing

I am using eCarts add to database and worldpay remote processing. The problem i have is that I can get the checkout button to go to worlpays site for credit card processing fine. I can also get the data from the shopping cart to be added to my database fine

BUT and this is a big BUT

I can't get them to do it together it a one or the other but not both situation.

If I change the action from the default worldpay https link the database part works but the page doesn't go to worlpay. If I set the action to the https link the page redirects perfectly but doesn't add the data to the database.

I even tried the wizard checkout button out to create the pages but this seams to have the same problem.

This is one of those issues with remote checkout. you will need to set the trigger for storing the order information in the database to before page load.

using the World Pay Remote gateway, the transaction settlement occurs with 4 business days. Within that time, there is no way to know the true status of the transaction, whether is was accepted or declined.

When the order is stored in the database, you should set a status column to pending. you will get an email notification when the transaction is processed, you can update the database record once you receive that notification.

If I set the trigger to be before page load and the customer doesn't actually press the checkout button my database will have the order without there actually being a order.

That is correct, That is why you create an order status column to set the status to pending.

Another solution would be to store the order in the database on the Success page. You would still need to use the order status column, but this way the order will only be stored if they go through world pay.
