Cannot install Power CMS on server

Cannot install Power CMS on server

I installed Power CMS on my Localhost so I could build the site before uploading it. I am currently stuck in the Installation Wizard on the screen that says "Get Started." When I click the button, nothing happens. I thought I uploaded all files to the server, and I'm not even getting an error. Any ideas what would be preventing the page from moving forward? Thank you.

Maybe my question should be, why is it even going through the installation process when I've uploaded all the files to the server, my configuration is correct, and the database has already been imported on the server. Why is it wanting to install again?

I'd have to debug it... can you give me the url and ftp access? My only guess is that something didn't get uploaded.

I can't seem to connect with the ftp information provided. Please test and make sure there isn't a typo in the password.

I just copied and pasted what I had sent to you, and I was able to log in right away. I use both Dreamweaver and Cute FTP. Can you try again?

It looks like session variables aren't being stored properly on the server. Contact your hosting provider and they should be able to fix this. Usually it is because the value for session_save_path in the php.ini file is set to a folder that doesn't exist or doesn't have the proper privileges.

To test you should be able to go to this page:
http://www.websailer.com/fine/session_set.php

then go to this page:
http://www.websailer.com/fine/session_show.php

If sessions were being stored properly you would see a session variable on the second page and it's value. Show those pages to your hosting company if they need proof that something is wrong with storing session variables in general.

Thanks, Ray. They are closed for the night, but I will let them know in the a.m.

Ray, the admin area is now working, however, when I include the content to link to Power CMS on the page, it's blank. Please see this page for an example:

http://www.websailer.com/fine/sample-page.php

It doesn't matter if I use the CMS >> Insert content from power cms command, OR copy and paste using Developer Notes in the CMS admin area.

Thanks.

Also, now that the testing server is the live server, I can no longer use the Insert content from Power CMS command. It connects just fine when I test the connection, but the Power CMS connection is grayed out in the Power CMS builder dialog box, and none of the location and content areas are there.
