Having problems with PEAR Mail using SMTP

I've recently changed web hosts and have to modify all previous instances of UE4 (4.0.1) generated messages.

I've tested that PEAR / Mail.php is present & working with a simple test script but am now getting errors thrown back which seem to be UE4 issues; mainly that on submission the script can't find the mail template files to use in compiling the messages / responses. I have checked that all templates are present in the webassist/email/templates directory on both my testing (local) system AND my new web host.

The error being reported seems to point to the fact that UE is looking for the template file (see below - Blank_2.php) in the email difrectory and not the sub-directory.

Any thoughts?

Regards

Gary

Are you sure you uploaded the Blank_2.php file to the live site? The error implies you may not have. That file will not be included with "dependent files" by dreamweaver, so it has to be uploaded separately.

Hi Ray, I'm most certain that all dependent files have been uploaded - I don't use DW to upload my files to the remote server but do it all with a separate FTP client (as have seen what DW can & can't do in the past!).

To confirm that you could take a look at http://charlienailsandbeauty.co.uk/webassist/email/templates/Blank_2.php to see the bones of the test template file that's been uploaded and which is being referenced in the script.

To me it seems that the error is coming somewhere in the mailformatting_php.php which doesn't seem to see / prepend the path to the script (ie in the templates sub-directory) leaving it to look in the root directory for it!

Just to confirm; I'm using DW CS4 on a PC running Windows 8.1 and the WA extension UE4.0.1 and trying to use PEAR Mail

Please provide a copy of the page that sends the mail as well as the include file it uses for the mail settings. I'll take a look and see if I can spot the problem.
