Need to change web site Template and Theme using Framework Builder...

I created a web site using a Template and Framework Builder Theme about 2 years ago. Now, we're going to change the layout, etc., and I need to replace the Theme and the Template with the new ones I've created, but I'm not sure what the best approach would be. It's a very large site, so I need to do this carefully. What is your recommendation?

Thank you.

The easiest way would be to simply replace the current template code with the new one and make sure it has the same named editable regions.

Just so I understand correctly ... Open the original template, and replace the template content with the new template code? Is this correct?

Yes, save a backup of the old template just in case their are problems. As long as the editable regions have the exact same names it should just work.

I don't have to change anything with the framework builder theme then?

No, as long as your template editable region names don't change, you shouldn't need to update anything else.
