Security Assist Hangs when Accessing MySQL Database

I am unable to run SA because the wizard hangs whilst trying to connect to the database between step 1 and 2.

My only option is to shutdown DW via the Task Manager.

I have tested the connection to the db which works with no problem.

I have deleted the winfilecache .dat file which didn't help either.

Any Ideas?

I have tried recreating the connection although the connection file ended up being the same anyway.

I tried opening DA to see if the same would happen when it tried to access the database - it froze then too.

I tried using SA on a different DB on a different server and everything worked with no problems.

I have spoken to my tech support, they have said that that they do not block access to Databases and therefore I should not have any problems.

They have checked remote access to my Database and have connected to it.

No surprise as I can connect to it from Dreamweaver, just not from a Webassist Extension.

You will need to use another FTP Program for this, Dreamweaver will not let you access the file, but:

On the Remote Server, open the Connections folder and delete the "mmServerScripts" folder.

Hi Jason

I logged on to my server, deleted the folder as suggested and just for good measure deleted the cache file which also sometimes helps, but unfortunately the situation has not been resolved.

Any other ideas?
