I have added a form on a page, with some validation. How do I set-up a "confirmation" message?

I have added a form on a page, with some validation. How do I set-up a "confirmation" message?

The message should be displayed on the page, something like "Your request has been sent. we will contact you shortly." OR "Please try again", if the request was not sent properly?
Since I am working on a test server, and there are NO email accounts set up, I cannot tell if an email will be sent or not.

The easiest way to do it is to create a confirmation page and redirect to that page when you send the email. If you are using webassist server validations then you can use it to show a failure message when the form content is rejected.

Can you tell me HOW the email is sent? Does my page need to be on a server that has email accounts set-up? I am not clear on that. Thanks

If you have Data Bridge you just apply the "Send Email Message" server behavior to the page. Just about any hosting provider will have an smtp server installed and ready to send emails from your web pages.
