convert mysql to mysqli

Hey Ray

Just trying to convert this old mysql to mysqli

<?php
$_GET['OptionGroupID'] = $row_ProductDetail["ProductID"];
$colname_OptionGroups = "-1";
if (isset($_GET['OptionGroupID'])) {
$colname_OptionGroups = $_GET['OptionGroupID'];
}
mysql_select_db($database_PowerCMSConnection, $PowerCMSConnection);
$query_OptionGroups = sprintf("SELECT * FROM optiongroups WHERE OptionProductID = %s", GetSQLValueString($colname_OptionGroups, "int"));
$OptionGroups = mysql_query($query_OptionGroups, $PowerCMSConnection) or die(mysql_error());
$row_OptionGroups = mysql_fetch_assoc($OptionGroups);
$totalRows_OptionGroups = mysql_num_rows($OptionGroups);
?>

So far I have

<?php
$OptionGroups = new WA_MySQLi_RS("OptionGroups",$DBConnection,0);
$OptionGroups->setQuery("SELECT * FROM optiongroups WHERE OptionProductID = ?");
$OptionGroups->bindParam("i", "".$_GET['OptionGroupID'] ."", "-1"); //colname
$OptionGroups->execute();
?>

but am a little stuck in finishing it off.....

Cheers

Jamie

That all looks right... the only thing I'd change is this line:

php:
$OptionGroups->bindParam("i", "".(isset($_GET['OptionGroupID'])?$_GET['OptionGroupID']:"")  ."", "-1");

My code checks to make sure that the option group id is passed in the url and won't error if it isn't.

What makes you think your code is wrong to begin with? Are you getting errors or is it not functioning as you would expect?

Jamie

well it was more to do with this reference

$_GET['OptionGroupID'] = $row_ProductDetail["ProductID"];

as this is getting the ID from another recordset on the page and is the reason I am trying to convert as the other rs is mysqli

what I am trying to do is convert product options that we worked on on one site (attached detail-products.php) which uses mysql to mysqli on another site (attached product_s.php). The db structure is exactly the same on both

I don't see that line of code on the new page.

The syntax for mySQLi would be:

php:
$_GET['OptionGroupID'] = $Products->getColumnVal("ProductID");
