I periodically get a pop up when opening DW asking me to activate my Free Tools

My Question is as above.

on opening DW CC I sometime am asked to activate my Free Tools, and have to go through the Download process again,
and enter serial no. etc. Is this a new policy? Why is it happening please?

I have not run into this problem before, What is your OS?

Version of Free Tools is installed?

Are there other extensions installed? If so what versions of those extensions?

thankyou for your response.
My OS is 10.8.5
I am using DW CC
The version of Free Tools I am using is 1.1.2
and the only other extension is AdobeExchange 1.2.0
I am not sure what Adobe Exchange is, should I de-activate this?

thankyou for your help

You should never have to re-download and re-install. You may have to copy and paste the activation code and/or clear your activations from our site in some cases.

Next time this happens call us. We would have to debug it when it occurs to figure out the issue and find a solution.

API information is available for free accounts. You just have to:
Log in to your PayPal Business account.
Click the My Account tab.
Click the Profile tab. ...
Click Request API credentials under Account information.
Click Set up PayPal API credentials and permissions under Option 1.
Click Request API Credentials.
Click Request API signature.
Click Agree and Submit.

requesting API credentials on Paypal

hi I am not getting anywhere unfortunately.
when i go into profile , then account settings,
then invited to choose how to set up API, whether through 3rd party like Shopify etc.
or Braintree SDK?!
or NVP/SOAP API integration (Classic)?!
Nowhere can I just Request API credentials.
I can send various screengrabs if you need more info as to what I am seeing in Paypal.
Would be very grateful for your assistance in this.
thanks

UPDATE
by clicking on the bottom NVP/SOAP INTEGRATION (CLASSIC) I have managed now to request the API details, so hoping this works!

driving me nuts now. I have got the api details from Paypal and cannot use copy and paste for some reason,
so have carefully entered all the digits manually into the three boxes namely username, password and signature,
only to get message that the entry is incorrect! I have repeated this several times paying attention to lower and uppercase and connecting hyphen and underscore etc etc. ????help please

I just sent you a Skype message. Please reply there and we can do screen sharing. I just installed freetools and have verified that it works, so I'm thinking the credentials must have been entered wrong. I'll help you debug and get it configured when you contact me through Skype.
