reset the workspace layout:
go to Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

Then close Dreamweaver and Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:

I don't think your looking in the right place. What is the path you are looking in?

Make sure that DW is closed. and also, what is the DW version?

Here is the screenshot of the adobe folder. As you can see there is no Dreamweaver folder which is weird...

that doesn't show the full path.

get info on the adobe folder.

also, to see the Dreamweaver folder under the adobe folder, you need to expand it.

thats the wrong library folder.

you needs to go into the users library folder, the one in your screen shot is the library folder from the root.

On newer version of mac OS, the users library folder is hidden. you can unhide the users library folder using the following command at the terminal:
chflags nohidden ~/Library/

the path to the configuration folder should look like:
/users/<your user name>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver <version>/Configuration

Ok, I followed the steps got to the right path, and deleted the file per the instruction. Now when I try DataAssist, I get this error: At line 123 of file "WA_AppBuilder.js": WADA_Carbon.checkSerial is not a function
