custom work

The client is asking me for the following for the shopping cart

1. We need to add a box for the letter lamp base listing that has the letter options (A-Z). Was also wondering if the letters could be in the font we use (Bookman Old Style), so that the customers can see what the letter would look like.

2. We need a color drop down box for all lamp bases. The standard colors are white, grey, baby blue, baby pink, navy, green and red. Can we also have a small color splotch next to each color?

3. Can we add a check box for each lamp base listing that gives them the option to add a harp and finial to the lamp base for $5?

Are these possible with e-Cart?

it's affably strait forward to add options to eCart.

the process is:
1) Create a column in the eCart object for the option, the option columns should be marked as unique.

2) in the add to cart button, set the option column to be edited by a select list, text box or check box

3) In the add to cart form, set the values for the options checkbox or select list.

you should take a look at the product options section of our eCommerce tutorial series:

the bookman old style font is not a web safe font, but you could create an image of each letter and show that image based on selection with custom coding. same for the color display, you could do that with custom coding, we could help with the custom coding in a premiere support appointment:

you can set the form element before hand if you like.

yes, you will need to add columns in the order details table for the option columns added to the cart.
