Unique Database Value not working in Server Validations

Unique Database Value in the WA Server Validations window is not working.
I can't add or edit any form value - pressing the ADD (+) or EDIT button does not open up a further window, just flashes it on the screen for a fraction of a second.

DW CS6, Windows 7, Data Bridge 1.2.1
Cleared the DW cache in the Configuration folder

Update: uninstalled DataBridge then reinstalled. Same problem.
I have exactly the same setup on another PC in another location that does not have this issue.

Cheers

Sounds like the WebAssist installer did not run.

after installing the extension in the Extension manager, when you open DW, it should start the WebAssist installer to complete the installation.

if the WA installer does not launch automatically, open a php page, this should force it to run.

After the WA installer completes, make sure you restart DW.

The WebAssist installer ran to completion after opening a php page - downloaded, installed, restarted DW.
Still the same issue with the Unique Database Value - box flashes on screen then vanishes.

I had a similar problem with my PC at home with exactly the same configuration as for my PC at work, but all DataBridge windows were affected like this - nothing opened. I removed Databridge from Ext Manager then reinstalled DB 1.2.1 - all fixed.

Could it be the installers & uninstallers in the Configuration/Floaters & /Commands folders?
I have the Oct 2014 versions.

Try recreating the users configuration folder.

This is the folder that contains the DW cache file.

Close DW, and rename the configuration folder, then open DW to have it recreated.

Close DW again and open the extension manager, in the extension manager uninstall the extensions, then install them again using the latest versions. Open DW and make sure the WebAssist installer runs, then restart DW again.

Thanks - I'll try that tomorrow and let you know what happens

Hi Jason - I removed all WA extensions from the Extension Manager, opened DW to uninstall the WA extensions.
Closed DW.

Renamed the Configuration file.
Opened DW - this updated the site cache. Then reset my workspace.
All my other third party extensions disappeared - I realised this would happen.
Closed DW
Installed DataBridge from Ext Man.
Opened DW
Installs DataBridge without any errors.
Opened a PHP page with Server Validations applied already.
Clicked on the existing WA SV from the Server Behaviors panel.
Clicked on the Unique Database Value entry.
Got this error: "Unable to open script file "C:\....\Configuration\Shared\Controls\Scripts\MySQLiConnectionMenu.js" (error 2)"
Unique Database Value entry inactive.

Why is the error referring to MySQLi when I completely uninstalled it and started afresh with a new configuration?

Very odd!

I think I'll revert to the previous configuration until we can figure this out.
Saves me having to reinstall every extension again.

I've attached a snip of the error.

WE have created a hot fix update for this issue.

you should uninstall Data Bridge, then install it again to install the fix.

Hi Jason - I've uninstalled DataBridge, then reinstalled.
Now Server Behaviors panel is not displaying any DataBridge items that I've previously added, only the Dreamweaver server behaviors.
There are no DataBridge items in the ADD Server behavior menu.
Databridge menu items in the main Webassist menu are inactive - nothing happens, except for 'Insert CSS Button' which gives an error:

Unable to open WA_Configuration.js

I also tried this on a new installation of DW CC, after installing the deprecated DW server behaviors, and exactly the same problem as above.

Help - I can't do any work!

Cheers

Sounds like the web assist installer did not run.

When you open DW, the WebAssist installer should run to complete the installation, if not, open a php page to force it to start.

make sure to restart DW after the WebAssist installer completes.

The WebAssist Installer did run to completion - download, install, done
I tried it three times removing from ExtMan & uninstalling from DW. Removed the DW cache in between each install
Same problem as described above.

And exactly the same issue when installing on DW CC.
I see somebody else had a similar problem after the hotfix implemented.
