Help with recordset query

Help with recordset query

I have a page which lists some details for lodges, and am looking at adding an option for people to like the lodge (for updates etc).

I have a little form to create a record in a likes table which works, but have gone a bit wrong trying to get a little icon to appear if someone has logged in and liked a particular product.

I have attached a couple of files - index.php is the original, and indexLIKESnearly3.php is as where I got to but broke the page completely (white screen).

Details with links below.

Just to say I have this bit of this working now using a unique text string used already on the page.

I might come back to this, but I'm OK for now.
