it looks like you put the add to cart button form inside the cart is empty section of the cart display manager.

The Add to cart button should be outside of the cart display manager.

i would suggest creating a table or a div layout structure with 1 row and 2 columns.

Place the add to cart in the top column and the cart display in the bottom column.

I have updated the page and placed the add to cart button above the cart, but it is still not working correctly.

I can see only one product and the table has three

did you put a repeat region around the add to cart button?

yeah, theres no repeat region around the cart button.

select the cart button form and go to the server behaviors panel, click the plus button and select repeat region.

After a search I would expect to see a selection of products.

Followed by a detail page of a particular product and that would have an "add to cart" button which would add the item to the cart.
