Problem connecting to database

I have just started using Data Bridge with Dreamweaver CS6. My web site is hosted by GoDaddy. I have a MySQL Database set up there. I am trying to create Register / Login / Logout pages.

I opened Dreamweaver and opened a new PHP page and saved it. (WebAssist says it has to be open)

I clicked... WebAssist... SecurityAssist... Create Security Pages

For Preset, I selected "Simple..."

Next for Connection I clicked "Define"...

It doesn't show any connections, so I clicked New... and selected MySQL Connection...

Assuming (dangerous) that Connection name was just for my use, I entered "Mydatabase"

For MySQL server I entered the url for my website... 160.153.40.7

Username and Password are those for the database user that I created in GoDaddy

Database is the name I created in GoDaddy... "Members"

When I click Test, I get a "An unidentified error has occurred."

In Dreamweaver's help I noticed that it said that I had to have a MySQL Database and a MySQL server started???

What am I doing wrong?

this suggests that the site settings for the testing server are not correct.

where you are trying to connect to the remote mySQL database, set up the testing server settings in the site definition to connect to the remote FTP server.

also make sure the web URL is set correctly.

in the dreamweaver site settings, there is an option to set up a testing server. you would need to configure that to use FTP to connect to your remote server.

the premiere support rate of $99.99 is for a half hour.
