Password field on userupdate page.

i got userupdate page by security assist.
I wanna make all fields optionals also don't want to include password text field in the same page.(userupdate) may be a small modal pop up or different page where different form seperately for changing password should be fine with all other data as it is.
What and how should i make changes for it?
Attached is a userupdate page.

Any tutorials for the same would be awesome.

Regards

you can remove the password columns from the page, edit the server validation behavior to remove the validation for the password fields and edit the update record server behavior to remove the bindings for the user password column

you would then need to create the separate password update page. On the password update page add the password update form and the Update recordset server behavior.

in the update behavior, use the UserID session as the ID Value same as on the user update page.

I had logged in using gmail ac.

edit the recordset and make sure to set the Type for the ParamUserEmail variable to text, it is currently set to be an integer, but contains a text string which is the cause of the error.

& on update server behaviour only password field was selected.

FYI, I created this userupdate2.php & login2.php page from create security assist.

login.php & user-update were earlier made from security assist.
i wanna use login.php as default login page & user-update.php for changing general info like name & etc. & userupdate2.php is only for changing password.

What are you trying to do on this page? The errors are because you have code to update the user table that is above the includes. Moving lines 1-41 down below the include files that currently end on line 47 will correct that.

But I'm a bit confused about what you are trying to do with that update in the first place. It looks like it is updating the database for logged in users and encrypting the password field. But then you have another update doing it again on lines 135-175.

Instead of moving the update on the top of the page it may be more appropriate to remove it, since it appears to be repetitive.

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

I removed password field from userupdate (original by securityassist) page.

I wanted a seperate page for changing password.
So i created userupdate2.php page just for changing password.
userupdate2.php has only password & confirm password field.

That was the basic idea.

like ray suggested:
