Fatal error on confirm.php

I have created the checkout pages and as you are filling the checkout.php form out and hit submit I get this error on the confirm.php page

Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in D:\hshome\tiremax67\tiremax.com\WA_eCart\WA_eCart_UPS_PHP.php on line 69

I have looked at line 69 on the confirm page and I dont know what it means?

Can you please tell me how to fix this problem?

the curl init function is a PHP function.

make sure the CURL Extension is enabled in the PHP.ini file, look for:
;extension=php_curl.dll

and remove the semi colon:
extension=php_curl.dll

Then restart the web server. also make sure the php_curl.dll exists in the PHP extension folder. Not all PHP Installations will allow the enabling of the CURL library, if this is on your local computer, you may need to upload to the remote server for testing.

Im totally confused. Are you saying for me to call the host and ask them about this PHP file as I am using the web server not my computer.

Im sorry posted reply to quick. Are you also telling me that when you said "Not all PHP Installations will allow the enabling of the CURL library" does this mean I need another host if they dont do this PHP.ini file? Thanks for the quick reply. But now Im really worried.

Another question, Im sorry. What exactly am I soppose to tell the host, if I am to call them. For them to fix their PHP.ini file, what if they say "For what reason"

Yes, you will need to contact your host to have them enable the CURL Library for you.

You just need to tell them the error you are getting and ask them to enable CURL. my comment about not all installations offering support for CURL was targeted twords installing PHP on your local computer for testing, almost all commercial hosts will enable CURL for you if you request it.
