delete multiple records with mysqli connection ?

I want to delete all items from a stock list after a successful purchase, using the cart as a data source, just before the session values are cleared

I see two ways of doing this.

Loop through the cart and within that loop, delete each itemid in turn

Loop through the cart adding the item id's to a string or an array, and then using this as a criteria, delete all items at once, using something like DELETE FROM tblitems WHERE ItemID in ('array values').

Can this be done using a MySQli, server behavior ?

Yes, it can be done but will take hand coding to accomplish.

your first method:
Loop through the cart and within that loop, delete each itemid in turn

is probably the easiest

create a cart loop, add the delete behavior in side the cart loop, and pass the cart ID as the itemID variable to delete.
