How does one add personalization (such engraving, gift message)

trying to add 3 lines of engraving and a choice of images that go with it. The URL of the page WITHOUT eCart installed (I am still working on that) is: http://bandofhonor.com/ordernow_bracelets.html. I am separating the different metals onto 2 separate static pages. Would prefer to add engraving info on add to cart page, but could put it in on shopping cart if that is the only way to do it.

in the eCart object, create a column for each line of engraving.

Then in the add to cart button behavior, set each of those columns to be updatable from a text field.

That will add text fields for each of the engraving columns to the add to cart form

when you create the page to display the cart information, make sure to include the engraving columns in the cart display.
