Captcha error_log file

The captcha error_log (web assist/captcha) on a site I'm working on has become a very large file. Can I simply delete this file from the server? Will this have an effect on how two captcha functions?

any error_log file is created by the server to log errors that are occurring.

you can delete it and it will get recreated if errors continue to occur. the errors may be something that you need to address.

Noted. FYI, I do not receive emails whenever a post is replied to on WebAssist, despite being subscribed to that post. This has been going on for some time now...
