This usually means bad credentials in your paypal settings.

If you provide ftp information in the private area I can look into it further.

FTP info

Hi Ray. Thanks. I realized just about this time that I should have included the login info. Added in private message.

Yes, it is giving the error number: 10002
Message: Security header is not valid

That means the username, password, or security key aren't correct in the gateways.php file. I took a look and there are no obvious problems with them, so I'd say log back into paypal and make sure there were no problems when copying and pasting.

Produces checkout failure, BUT not locally!

More backstory. When I tried to select checkout wizard (with cart.php open), all selections were grayed. The problem I had yesterday was that in filling out the Payment tab, it selected an old connection setup and a dialog box kept coming up cyclically, trying to test the connection. So I re-ran the dynamic connection interface and added the correct live connection as an "additional" connection.

BUT, just tried the store locally, and it works. Where do I alter the connection so that it works online? THANKS!

Try uploading the gateways.php file... it isn't a problem with the connection it is a problem with the credentials being passed to paypal. Perhaps your local ones are different.

Hmm, no. Just uploaded gateways.php (from inside webassist/ecart/checkout/credentials/).

Still doesn't work online.

I just tested and the page now takes me to paypal, so you must have gotten it resolved.
