How to access the eCart Object from the Body of an email?

I need to create an email so that after the user is redirected to the checkout_success.php page, an email is sent to the user with the details. I have created the email but when I try to reference the eCart object I get an error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function DisplayInfo() on a non-object in /home/champion/public_html/webassist/email/templates/Blank.php on line 57

This is line 57:
<p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 3px 0px;">eCart ID: <?php $eCart1->DisplayInfo("ID") ?></p>

The eCart object is created in the file checkout_success.php so I would have thought that this would work.

at line 1 of the Blank.php template, define $eCart 1 as a global:

<?php global $eCart1; ?>
