Jamie

cant find the inherited css...

good evening

Just wondering if anyone would be able to help me work out why athe css for a visited navigation point is throwing up a black background when it's been visited. Only seems to be doing this in IE and iOs

The site is http://clients.motley.co.uk/iday/eventinfo.php?id=4 and to see what's happening (in IE) just navigate to either the point above or below 'Speakers' and you'll see that the 'Speakers' nav goes black. If I change the visited css to the Orange, I then lose the yellow hover effect

Thanks for any help you can give.

in the #sideNavMain li a:visitedselector, you are using a background image.:

#sideNavMain li a:visited { color: #fff; text-decoration: none; font: bold 15px Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; background: url(../images/misc/orange_bar.png) no-repeat top center;}

IE doesn't like switching between background color and background images. you start off using backgrougnd color for the #sideNavSub li a:link, then switch to using background images.

stick to one or the other, not switching back and forth.

gotcha. I have changed it from background-color to using image for both the main and the sub navs - and all working a treat now

thanks for pointing it out

sorry to be a pain Jason but on the same site, I have got a couple of pages with tabbed panels working fine on all platforms but, for some reason, on the iphone the content of the tabbed panels goes through the footer area.

The 2 pages in question are

http://clients.motley.co.uk/iday/event/exhibition-room and http://clients.motley.co.uk/iday/event/speakers

Cheers

mobile design is not my area of expertise, Jamie, I don't think can offer much help on this one.

Most likely, you need a Max height setting on the tabbed content div, or refresh the tabbed content on change.
