Stuck on Serial number page during install?

I has some issue on a GoDaddy (don't use godaddy!!!) hosted site I am building for a client and ended up having to re-install PowerCMS. Now the problem I am having is I can't get past the Serial Number during installation. I don't get any errors and I am copying the correct serial for Design Extender but nothing happens after I click Go To Next Step. It just clears the form. Could it be because I already had an install with this serial number and domain? If so, how do I reset it? If not, what can it be?

Most likely there is a problem saving sessions on your domain.

Use the attached session test page to test your domains for saving sessions.

if the test fails, you will need to contact the host to have them fix the problem, most likely a bad session.save_path setting in the php.ini file.

Hi Jason,

I did the session test and it is working properly. The link is in the PM section.

Jason,

Did you have any luck?

the .htaccess file you have in the /2014 directory is causing a conflict.

if I rename that file to disable it, I can get past the serial number screen to the next step of the installation.

you will need to rename that file to get through the installation.
