Problems with saving data to order table

Problems with saving data to order table

Some of our orders additional information from additional form fields seems not to be saved into the order table. This happens sometimes. Also the OrderReferenceID appears on multiple orders. looks like this session is not being deleted after completing the order?

May I kindly ask you to have a look into the code? I've attached the pages.

specifically what columns are not being written? you say it happens sometimes, are you sure the form fields are being filed in when nothing is saved?

what page is it i should look at for these fields?

for the Reference ID, add the following code after the </html> tag on the success page to destroy the session;

<?php
// Initialize the session.
// If you are using session_name("something"), don't forget it now!
@session_start();

// Unset all of the session variables.
$_SESSION = array();

// If it's desired to kill the session, also delete the session cookie.
// Note: This will destroy the session, and not just the session data!
if (ini_get("session.use_cookies")) {
$params = session_get_cookie_params();
@setcookie(session_name(), '', time() - 42000,
$params["path"], $params["domain"],
$params["secure"], $params["httponly"]
);
}

// Finally, destroy the session.
@session_destroy();
@session_regenerate_id();
?>

Thanks Jason.

The form has some validation in it so an empty form can't be submitted. The form ist placed inside shop_kasse.php.

As far as I've been informed if there is data missing, it is the data belonging to all the fields in the form.

Thanks for the session destroy code. There are sessions that shouldn't be destroyed after order something.

How can I destroy session and cookies only for the "OrderReferenceID" and "OrderNumber" sessions?

The validation is set to trigger on button InfraparkShopAdressdaten_submit, but the store order summary behavior is set to trigger on Current page submit.

set both behaviors to use the same trigger.

the OrderReferenceID is the session_id() value.

the only way to clear this is to destroy the session.

you can add code to save any session variables you wish to keep into application variables then reset then after the session is destroyed.

this is an example of resetting a session named userID, you can use the same approach save others:

<?php
// Initialize the session.
// If you are using session_name("something"), don't forget it now!
@session_start();

//save the UserID Session Var
$userID = $_SESSION['userID'];

// Unset all of the session variables.
$_SESSION = array();

// If it's desired to kill the session, also delete the session cookie.
// Note: This will destroy the session, and not just the session data!
if (ini_get("session.use_cookies")) {
$params = session_get_cookie_params();
@setcookie(session_name(), '', time() - 42000,
$params["path"], $params["domain"],
$params["secure"], $params["httponly"]
);
}

// Finally, destroy the session.
@session_destroy();
@session_regenerate_id();

// reset the userID session var
$_SESSION['userID'] = $userID;
?>

Unfortunatly the current session for the userlogin is not being reset and the user is being logged out. I'm using:

<?php
// Initialize the session.
// If you are using session_name("something"), don't forget it now!
@session_start();

//save the UserID Session Var
$userID = $_SESSION['SecurityAssist_MEMID'];

// Unset all of the session variables.
$_SESSION = array();

// If it's desired to kill the session, also delete the session cookie.
// Note: This will destroy the session, and not just the session data!
if (ini_get("session.use_cookies")) {
$params = session_get_cookie_params();
@setcookie(session_name(), '', time() - 42000,
$params["path"], $params["domain"],
$params["secure"], $params["httponly"]
);
}

// Finally, destroy the session.
@session_destroy();
@session_regenerate_id();

// reset the userID session var
$_SESSION['SecurityAssist_MEMID'] = $userID;
?>

Thanks for any help.

are you sure that is the correct session name?

try dumping the session to make sure you have the right session name:

<?php @session_start(); var_dump($_SESSION); ?>

you may need to add session_start(); and session_commit(); after resetting the session:

// reset the userID session var
@session_start();
$_SESSION['SecurityAssist_MEMID'] = $userID;
session_commit();

The Session name is "SecurityAssist_MEMID".

The additional code didn't help/recreate the login session "SecurityAssist_MEMID"
