Multiple currencies in shop cart

Is it possible to set up the cart two deal with two currencies (Euro and Can$).

The database is already set up with two currencies. Depending on where the customer is located, the price info on our main website (not the shop) is shown).

For all countries except USA and Canada in Euro.
For Canada in Can$.

It's posible, but may take some hand coding to accomplish.

You would need to make sure the correct price is going into the add to cart button based on locations, and set a session to EUR or CAD then in the code that passes the transaction to the gateway, set the variable for currency to use the session.

If you need help setting this up, we can help in a premiere support appointment:

I will probably need help, but I would like to get as much as possible done by myself, before requesting premier support.

Location is already set up. On our main website (http://www.segufix.de/detail_en.php?recordID=1) pricing is hidden for users from the US, shown in CAD for users from Canada and shown in Euro for users from all other countries.

So I think the right price would be put into the cart. This is not achieved with a session but with the user's IP address and temporary classes. And here I am not sure, if temporary classes can be implemented for the use in the cart or choosing the right cart.

Would I be right, that I have to add a second cart in order to specify other tax rules, shipping cost etc.? Tax rules in Canada are tricky, because there are different tax rates for different provinces.

Edit: On our web shop sessions is used for language choice. Can it be used for location too?

you can use the IP to save a session for the country as well.

No, you don't need another cart for the tax and shipping.

when the provide is selected, it is saved to a session.

for the tax and shipping rules, you can use a trigger Based on session Variable value to create rules that apply to specific provinces.
