activation issue on DW 2014.1 with new updated extensions, ecart6.1 and databridge 1.2.2

activation issue on DW 2014.1 with new updated extensions, ecart6.1 and databridge 1.2.1

now we can enter the serial#s but after entering it (it says # verified) and click "activation", 2 kinds of error occurs on 2 different machines.

main machine:
after clicking "activation", it says javascript error;
executing onmousedown on wadatabridge_serhtm
Line 1900 on file
C:\users\username\appdata\roaming\adobe\dreamweaver cc 2014\ja_jp\configuration\shared\webassist\library\wa_ui.js".
retVal has no properties.

2nd machine:
It says serial# verified when I enter the #,
then after clicking "activation", it says "the serial number you entered is incorrect".

This happens on both ecart 6.1 and databridge 1.2.1
(same error on each machine)
I don't know if they are related errors, I like to get both problem solved.

I also deleted dw data cache, rebuilded configuration folder, reset rayout setting, reinstalled dw itself but still same errors.

I has been using older versions (dataassist, security assist and ecart5) on DW CS6 as the new products refuse me to use,
but now I have javascript error on the wa server validation panel of the older version, which I posted on another thread.
Now I am stuck

you posted this in a other thread, i asked for you to post the ifconfig file:
to help troubleshoot:

1) Go to the Start Menu -> Run. Type "cmd" and click on OK to bring up a command prompt.
?2) At the command prompt type "ipconfig /all > c:\\ipconfig.txt"?

This will create a file in your C drive called ipconfig.txt.

Please send that file

They are in Japanese, so I translated in ()

machine 1

You started another thread for this same issue, it is really not a good idea top start multiple threads for the same problem, it juts causes confusion in the forum


I think we have found the problem. in the activation routine we do the ifconfig /all command then find "Physical Address" to get the Mac Address for the computer.

it looks like you are using a foreign language OS, so the Physical Address is returned using a different string.

We will be doing an update to get this fixed, I will update this thread when the update is complete.

first I created one thread to ask if it was safe to install DW CC2914.1 with the extensions,
and you said it was compatible and safe.
But it was not.
Then I waited for weeks and finally got extension updated, which was not working with activation failure.
That's why I created this new thread.
I hope you can fix that then we can use the products.
I have 2 problems in 2 different computers as I stated in this thread, I don't know if they are related issues,
but I do need to get the javascript error as well, because I can't activate with that error as well.
We've doing deleting/restarting data cache many times as you told us.

It looks like this issue was with foreign language OS's. We have applied a hot fix update to eCart 6.1.0, Data Bridge 1.2.1 and MySQL 1.0.3 to fix the problem. if you uninstall then re install those extensions it should correct the problem and allow you to activate.

I reinstalled the extension.
On machine #2 it is activated now and looks like working.

But on machine #1 It has "the serial number you entered is incorrect" message when I hit activate button, which was machine#2 problem.
I checked the difference between machine#1 and machine#2,
and found out that when installed on machine#2, which is now working, has only one language folder that is "ja_jp" in DW 2014.1 folder,
but machine#1, which has error activating, has two language folders, "ja_jp" and "en_us", and each folders has the "confuguration" folder.
Any resolution I can do?

There should be only one language folder.

uninstall DW and the extension manager using the Adobe Cleaner tool:
http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

then reinstall DW and the extension manager, then reinstall the extensions.
