Blank Server Page

Blank Server Page

Locally, all's well.

However, I just posted a new website to our server but HTMLEditor does not show the server's upload page when you click on the "Browse Server" button - it is blank.

The upload folder & subs have 777 permissions and the webassist folder has 775 permissions. I know I've asked this question before but I forget what your solution was.

I'll need to troubleshoot directly, see the private message section.

The blank screen means a php error is occurring but error reporting is turned off. we need to know what the error is.

try editing the /webassist/kfm/index.php page and add the following code at line 1 to turn on error reporting:

<?php
error_reporting(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors','on');
?>

once we know the error, we can troubleshoot the cause.

alternately, there may be an error log that contains the error, if you are not sure where this is located, contact the host.

I've added the PHP to the top of /webassist/kfm/index.php but am still getting a blank screen and no error reporting.

so we need to track down the error logs then to find the error.

with out the error, there is not much that can be done to troubleshoot.

No Error Reported

OK... I've turned on error reporting in the php.ini file and did not get any errors. I looked in the server's log files and did not see any logged errors either. I don't think the index.php file is throwing errors - it's just not displaying its contents. This file works perfectly on my localhost - just not on our server. Is there a server config or a permission that might be preventing this page from displaying?

Just tried calling and got your voice mail, but in your last message you added info about the server that is not working:

  opens blank on my production server (LINUX/Apache/PHP v5.1.6)

the system requirements for Data Bridge require PHP 5.2 or above, it will not work in PHP 5.1.6:
