Date Picker

I know... there's one in CSS Form Builder already.

Well that's true but if you have a set of Insert / Update forms already built using data Assist plus the form fields are all associated with a database then I believe I'm right in saying that adding the date picker means losing all those associations. And having to put them all back by hand will be very tedious.

At the moment I'm using a jQuery UI and it works very well but how about building the date picker into DataAssist on the next version. Or even making a stand alone extension that wont interfere with all the data bindings that already exist.

A free standing or integrated (into DataAssist) date picker that allows you keep data bindings and easily format the CSS would in my opinion be a worthwhile addition.

Thank you for the suggestion.... Updating the dataAssist form for the insert page with form builder and using the date picker would not lose any associations.

Updating the Update page would lose the default values set from the database.

The only slightly tricky parts I have found updating DataAssist forms with form builder is that the buttons aren't named properly and only one submit button remains.

I have found if I copy the buttons before replacing the form, then I can paste the buttons back in and replace the form builder button to account for that problem.

The next version of dataAssist will integrate form builder, so including the date-picker option is a good suggestion. Thanks again for the feedback.

Hi Ray,

Thanks for replying. Sorry for delay in my reply, I've been away for a few days.

Good news about the DataAssist integration.
