unable to register mysqli extension

It seems Adobe changed (again) something in Dreamweaver 14.1. After a fresh install of Dreamweaver and installing the MySQLi extension i'm not able to register the product. The window where i can usually insert my serial number pops up a split second and is gone again. Nothing else happen. Using Adobe product is more and more anoying (i remember the good old days where Macromedia Studio 8 came up). Is there any workaround to get this work?

there is a bug in the CC 2014.1 release that is causing issues, we are urging people to avoid installing the upgrade until we can release an update with a work around:

Unfortunately, there is not a work around until we can release an update, which we are working on as quickly as possible.
