Webassist installer problem

I've just purchased Design Extender, eCart 6 & MySQLi, and upgraded Data Bridge to v1.2.0 then installed each with Extension Manager.
When I start Dreamweaver CS6, the WebAssist Installer stops on Step1 of 'Installing Data Bridge' with a Dreamweaver error message:
"ERROR: Could not connect to WebAssist server - please make sure you are connected to the internet and try again"

After closing the WA installer, I can see the menu items/icons for Design Extender, but no functionality.
Data Bridge works normally, but I already had this installed.
If I close Dreamweaver and open again, the WA Installer does not start.

I tried removing Design Extender from DW Extension Manager, then reinstalling.
WA Installer starts again with Data Bridge, then stalls as before.

I am working behind a proxy server at work - what is your server IP address or URL so that I can notify our IT dept to allow requests?
Thing is that the WA Installer has worked previously in my work environment when I've updated Data Bridge.
Could it be a problem with your server?

Dave

Check how much free space you have on your main hard drive, I have run into this before when i had very little free space available and it was fixed by clearing some additional space.

Jason - plenty of space on my system partition (40Gb) & data partition (800Gb)

BTW I did not receive an alert mail for your reply, even though I have subscribed

Now I removed all 5 WA extensions from Extension Manager, opened Dreamweaver, closed DW, deleted winFileCache ***.dat file, reinstalled all 5 WA extensions in Ext Manager.

Opened Dreamweaver, WA installer completed 3 stages for Data Bridge.
Then it started step 1 of another install, but this was also titled 'Installing Data Bridge'.
After a minute or so, it came up with the same "ERROR: Could not connect to WebAssist server ..."
Closed this then tested Data Bridge with one of the SBs. WA Activation box appears.
So new version 1.2.0 is installed properly.

Try renaming the configuration, then installing the extensions one at a time.

so:
Locate the configuration folder that contains the winFileCache ***.dat file and rename it.

Open DW to recreate it and then close DW.

Open the extension manager and remove each extension, then install Data Bridge, open DW to start the WebAssist installer to finish the install for Data Bridge.

restart DW to test the Data Bridge functionality. Close it, and repeat to install Design Extender. then eCart, then free tools, and then MySQLi.

Thanks Jason - I was reluctant to recreate a new configuration folder as I have a load of other extensions that would all have to be reinstalled.

I removed all WA extensions from Extension Manager, then reinstalled them separately in the order you suggested. After jumping thru many hoops, and one step forward, two steps backward (!!) I finally installed them all. It tried to uninstall eCart & MySQLi SBs a few times with a JS error message about "...\commands\WA_unInstall2.htm : sharematch " having no properties, but I must have hit on the right sequence in the end, as everything is working correctly now. *holding thumbs*
